Shout out to Saif and Mary, two of the most influential people I have ever met. Love you both, such an incredible family.

I've been seeing all the videos and pictures on insta and so happy to see you all are still running your border awareness program.

I came down for an SCSJ a few years back and the experience down at the border forever changed my life in ways I could have never imagined.

Between all the people and organizations we met with I was able to gain a better understanding of immigration and not only what migrants face but also how we could work on doing a better job of changing the system. I consider that every time I vote and when I speak with my representatives.

The biggest impact though was you, Saif and Mary. The bond you have as a family is what I hope to have with my family someday, but on top of that I remember all of the lessons you shared with me. Thank you Mary for teaching me to know my worth and demand what I want. Because of you I was able to get my job after I graduated and demanded the salary I felt was right for me, which was more than they were offering, but I knew my worth and I got what I wanted.

To Saif, thank you for teaching me to be proud of who I am and the really fun memories you created. Most of all thank you for treating my group like adults. You let us be free and also showed us an incredible time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my lifeline.
