I am a small donor to Akshaya USA, but their work with the abandoned is close to my heart. The simple act of feeding and bathing people who are unable to care for themselves expresses the highest in human decency. Caring for the mentally ill, elderly and destitute is difficult enough in rich countries such as ours. In a country such as India, where people are struggling to simply get by, it is extraordinary. Let's help them feed, bathe and house more people!
