Review for Hugs Project Incorporated, Oklahoma City, OK, USA
Dedication, hard work, and patriotism are the three descriptive words that immediately come to mind when I think of the Hugs Project. Volunteering with them is a great experience in that there isn't a moment they are not working towards their awesome goals. Care packages are consistantly being packed, cooling ties and special gifts being made, and encouraging and supportive stories about the men and women serving overseas are talked about with great knowledge and compassion. Each time I volunteer (during this Christmas season, when 4,000 packages were put together, for example), I know for a fact fellow Americans are being provided with necessities and love from the volunteers.

Reading the response letters from the men and women who receive the packages overseas has provided myself (and those I have shared them with additionally) with a great sense of confidence in the goodness of people in general. Knowing there are volunteers at the Hugs Project that are willing to spend every day working to provide support for those protecting our freedoms is incredibly encouraging. Also, having an outlet through the Hugs Project to help others in a great way is wonderful in our busy lives.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
The change I would make to this organization would have to be providing Karen with an even greater support system, so that she may take a bit of time off here and again. As it stands, from updates I read in her e-mails, the organization stays afloat when she and her husband are out, but I can't help but have the feeling it could, as most things in life, stand for improvement in some way.
