I was a patient at MARR over six years ago. When I checked in my life was a mess. I had forfeited my family, career and relationships. I felt hopeless and had no idea why. The team at MARR showed tough love and forced me to take an honest assessment of my life and choices. They taught me about the disease concept of addiction which helped me to understand the downward spiral I was experiencing. Their unique residence model provided the framework to engage with individuals in an environment with healthy and safe boundaries. I regained a sense of worth and hope. I spent some time in their 3/4 program and they helped me design an after care and transition plan that which allowed me to reengage with my family and job in a healthy manner. I attribute this thoughtful transition plan with allowing me to become a part of my family again. My life has been productive and blessed in these past six years. I now know joy instead of sorrow and hope versus despair. Thank you MARR for giving me a new LIFE - not the one I feared and knew previously!
