Thanks to Ben and the Keystone Elk Country Alliance for sharing the distance learning opportunity about the Pennsylvania Elk herd with our 5th grade classes here at Holiday Park Elementary School in Plum, PA. Only a handful of our students have been to the visitor center in Benezette and/or have seen the elk. Thanks to you, all of our students have been able to experience the elk and will hopefully talk their parents into taking them to Elk County to see them up close and personal. Being a native of Weedville and a property owner in Benezette, I take for granted what a wonderful resource we have in the elk herd and what a beautiful place I had the opportunity to grow up in. Can't wait until next year when our incoming 5th graders will get to experience this learning event.
