Review for Operation Gratitude Inc, Chatsworth, CA, USA
I became interested in voluntering with Operation Gratitude several years ago. I became more involbved when I learned that a simple box ofv miscellaneous items could make a warrior's day! It wasn't just the contents, it was the thoughts and well wishes that accompanied them. As I became more involved in helping our deployed troops, I paid a lot of attention to news from the conflict areas. I learned that many times our men and women in the military do not have the basic necessities available to them, such as a toothbrush, shampoo, a pair of clean, dry socks, a jolly rancher to suck on, a beanie or scarf to keep them warm. Over the years I have voluntered at the Armory, helping with the card brigade and completing custom forms. At home, I knit scarves and beanies. I think this organization is fantastic and it is very well run!

After each mailing, twice per year, the organization makes necessary improvements. It is very well managed and changes are always being made to make the process more efficient. They have shown a lot of creativity in fund raising. Although centered in Van Nuys, CA the organization has a nation-wide presence. I don't think there is much that could be done to make it better. It is already GREAT!
