Review for Operation Gratitude Inc, Chatsworth, CA, USA
Operation Gratitude provides Americans of all ages the opportunity to do something tangible to support our military heros. The sorting and packing process is exciting and rewarding, and gives each volunteer a sense of accomplishment and purpose. Working side by side with other partiotic citizens: kids, seniors, veterans, patriots of all ages and from all walks of life, gives you an incredible sense of pride. The Patriotic Spirit in the Armory is contagious and makes you want to come back again and again. Additionally, for those of us who have, or have had, loved ones in the battle field, Operation Gratitude is THE BEST support group ever. The words of concern, thanks and appreciation from fellow Americans who appreciate the sacrifice the whole family makes when someone is serving is heartwarming and very much appreciated. I have never been associated with a better group of people, all VOLUNTEERING, just like our military warriors. If you volunteer once, you'll be hooked!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
reading the emails we receive from the troops who receive the Care Packages, and also talking to those who come by to thank us for the package they received in the field. I have also seen volunteers blossom from being very shy to being in charge of an area in the packaging process.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
find a way to fund paid positions so the founder didn't have to spend 20 hours a day keeping things organized and flowing so smoothly for the rest of us.
