My daughter found her home at Girls Rock! DC. The focus on social justice and gender fluidity and equity created an atmosphere in which she blossomed! On top of that, the workshops and musical instruction allowed her to create a voice-amplifier through which she blew up the universe in recognition of her own power! Since she attended camp she has fiercely self-identified as a gender activist and artist. She uses the skills she learned at camp everyday in peacefully navigating school, life and our community. She is 11 now and all signs indicate that she is well on the way to becoming an incredible adult. Girls Rock! DC was instrumental (all puns intended) in that! THANK YOU!
