I came to Castle Hill as an artist-in-residence in the fall of 2021. Though I’ve been aware of this organization for many years and have been to numerous public events, I had never before been on the inside of the experience as an artist. What is so remarkable is the strength of vision, the laser focus and the preparation to nurture artists is very much apparent. I was made to feel welcome and my time and work were respected even as the campus was undergoing major construction. I was given every opportunity to do my work in quiet (and meet my deadlines!) even as there was much going on. Also a major plus is the quality, integrity and devotion of the other artists I met during my stay. I credit the director and the staff for their sincere ability to create a truly wonderful arts organization. I highly recommend it.
