Review for Big Sunday, Los Angeles, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Big Sunday is truly the greatest of the great non-profits-I have been a volunteer for many years and the more I get involved the more I know people here just want to do good, touch people's lives and make them better. They are unstoppable and don't have "can't be done" in their vocabulary. It brings people together in a common bond of helping our fellow man and nobody does it better.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Just find them more money, more sponsors so their influence can reach even farther!!

Review for Operation Gratitude Inc, Chatsworth, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Operation Gratitude is a shining example of non-partisanship, citices coming together to help our servicemen and women in harm's way to feel a little closer to home. When you walk in the National Guard Armory to volunteer, you leave politics, prejudices and attitudes at the door. Everyone unites in that wonderful feeling of making a difference in someone's life. Kudos to one brave woman who got this ball rolling - and look where this organization has come! Deserving of any addition funds that may come their way, they reach out to our soldiers and touch their lives. Simple, effective, heartfelt.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

having my nephew assigned in Iraq and personally told the difference in a soldier's life by receiving these packages

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

expand to send something to soldiers wounded who have come home to rehabilitate -and that is just what Carolyn Bkashek is doing!

Role:  Volunteer & donate goods yearly and help address packages.
