Review for AbilityPath, Redwood City, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I belong to the Auxiliary affiliated with AbilityPath and have been a member since 2018. In those five years, despite the pandemic, the Agency has grown exponentially. We now service DDS children and adults for all of San Mateo and Santa Clara. This embodies 15 different sites. We now service people who suffered brain injuries. AbilityPath offers classes, employment, and an outdoor venue for camping both day and overnight. I'm only highlighting what AbilityPath has done and is doing for this often-neglected community.

I joined AbilityPath 3 years ago and worked my way into becoming quite involved. Also, I knew very few members so I navigated slowly. Wow, what a difference 3 years make! In spite of the pandemic, this nonprofit really amped up its dedication and commitment to the community we serve. Serving on the Board has made me acutely aware that this organization which has been around for 70+ years is solid. We serve developmentally and physically disabled people by offering a variety of programs going from newborns to adults, some of whom are 70 years old! I'm proud to be a member of the Auxiliary who supports the nonprofit, AbilityPath of San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.
