The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is a lifeline in the Pittsburgh community for the many families who rely on its services. I have participated in many programs over the years from food drives to gleaning and have always been impressed by the caring and committed staff. I have been so impressed by the resourcefulness of the programming in repurposing food to avoid waste and improve the diets of people that rely on the local food pantries.
