This past holiday season the James D Rielly Foundation opened the Bristol Santa House for the first time. The main purpose of this house is for children with special needs. Children who may not have ever had the experience of meeting and talking with Santa Claus. The house is inclusive for all to access and spend time with Santa and their families. There is no cost for the families and they can reserve their time so they do not wait in long lines for their turn. The house is also open to the general public but the purpose and focus is for special needs children. To see this as a volunteer was such a heartwarming experience. More than a few tears were shed at each special needs designated days. We are hoping to bring it back this season so donations are needed and welcomed to help us accomplish this again for our community and all of the New England area.

Wonderful charity who focuses on active military as well as veterans and first responders who are most in need. They work to provide joy all year round not just during the holiday season. They have done things like reconstruct a bathroom so a handicap child has easy access, helped families who have lost everything in house fires and provided assistance to handicapped vets. This is a 100% volunteer non-profit where all funds donated go directly to those in need.
