I came to SMGA through a friend from the military that raved about the program. Now its my turn. I arrived at the Atkinson c.c. for my first lesson of 8. When I tell you I had no idea which end of the club to use. Now I play with confidence & the game is fun for me. Sometimes it seems like the peace I get from being on the golf course is the only peace i get. Also the fellow vets I've met in this program and through tournaments sponsored by SMGA are now friends. There is an instant brotherhood that's bonded by the common reasons for our participation in the program. SMGA gave that to us. I am forever grateful full to Jerry Shanahan from SMGA and Tom Smith & Peter Doherty from Atkinson c.c. as well as tylor made who make it all happen. I am in a much better place because of these gentlemen and this program. I cannot thank them and the donors that make this program possible enough.
