" I have worked with the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires since 2018, the year I co-founded a non-profit headquartered in Pittsfield — The Youth, Education and Sport (YES Initiative).

As a start-up non-profit, the NPC is a key part of our development because the experience goes beyond centralizing resources. The advice and instruction provided over coffee or in office meetings are invaluable. Liana (Executive Director | NPC) understands the early stage pain points. She takes the time to listen and view the mission from our perspective.
Liana leads her team at the NPC to think big — YES recently finished helping the NPC develop a new fiscal sponsorship product. YES was the pilot fiscal sponsee until YES received it's 501(c)3 status. During this time, the NPC provided helpful oversight that WAS NOT overbearing and quick turnover of funds. In offering this service, the NPC now provides something YES struggled to find in our earliest stages of growth.

As YES continues to develop and grow, we will continue to find ways to partner and innovate with the NPC, a service that continues to get better each year and has the potential to be in the vanguard of leading the vast number of Berkshire Area non-profits into the evolving age in which we find ourselves."
