Review for Jessica Locke Firefighters Fund Inc, Watertown, MA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am a firefighter of the FDNY and was a first responder to the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. I first met Jessica at the firehouse where I worked which was about 5 minutes from the WTC. Jessica strolled in, innocent as could be, and offered to me and my brothers an Alexander Technique session. Before you knew it, Jessica became an unofficial, official member of our fire house. She was the only one.

For months on end, Jessica visited many times offering sessions, assessing what we needed, and getting things like ice machines donated to many firehouses in the area. Little did I know, all this time that I thought Jessica was helping us, it turns out that we were helping her. Jessica wrote a book about her experiences entitled 'Rescue at Engine 32.'

From day 1, Jessica vowed to help firefighters at times when we couldn't help ourselves. She still returns to NYC to provide the Alexander work for our members, as well as to firefighters in other parts of the country. If there were more people like Jessica in the world, it would be a much better place.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

via my direct contact with Jessica at ground zero.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

..I wouldn't change a thing.

Role:  Volunteer & I assist Jessica with her campaign. .
