As a board member and long time supporter of SilverSource, I have witnessed first hand the impact that the organization has had on the quality of life of local older adults. From their free Ride to Wellness medical transportation service to providing financial assistance and healthy meals to seniors in need, SilverSource provides critical and much needed services.

SilverSource is a well-respected nonprofit that does exemplary work with local older adults. During the COVID pandemic, SilverSource staff and volunteers stepped up to organize a food delivery program to help local homebound seniors get access to healthy meals. This program is now a mainstay of SilverSource offerings. Most recently, SilverSource, under the leadership of its CEO, Kathleen Bordelon, spearheaded an initiative to provide older adults with laptops and training to enable them with digital access to important resources. This program has had positive impact on the participants and was recently highlighted in local media.

SilverSource provides valuable services helping one of our most vulnerable populations: older adults. Through programs such as financial assistance; medical transportation and housing placement, SilverSource has proven to be a reputable; compassionate and much-needed nonprofit in Fairfield County, CT with an unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life of local seniors. Their CEO and staff is knowledgeable; caring; passionate and works diligently as an advocate for its clients and community.
