Review for Our Family In Africa, Camas, WA, USA
OFA is a one of a kind humanitarian organization that is lead by a wonderful women named Jilma Meneses. Jilma has been a volunteer for this organization for more than 10 years and has worked tirelessly for the people of DRC by supplying food, medicine, supplies and hope. Jilma has spread the word of the plight of the people in the Democratic Republic of Congo around the world and has drawn volunteers from all across the United States to help in her fight to save lives. While the #1 goal of OFA is to support multiple orphanages Jilma has helped many chldren find loving homes including our 2 that will be home later this spring. If Jilma had not worked so hard to help these children they most certainly would have died horrible deaths of starvation and disease. OFA has the highest standards of practice and holds to a strict code of conduct to show upmost respect to the Congolese people and their goverment. Jilma Meneses is a true HERO to me and the world.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I have helped and particpated in fundraisers for formula, clothing, toys and money to support the many oprphanages in DRC. When I see pictures of children eating and babies having formula and without voluteering as a group and without Jilma's leadership these children would be among the thousands of children to die in this worn torn country.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Do whatever I could to increase awarenessof OFA and to find money that will help Jilma to be able to continue this monumental job that she does of saving the lives of the men, women and children of DRC.
