My favorite thing about volunteering at Project Cure is the flexibility of hours and variety of work. A great place to spend your time if your are retired and looking to keep busy. There are many many things that need to be done. Depending on your skill level you can find the task that is right for you. You want to drive and pick up items, repair medical equipment, pre-sort donations and put up inventory in the warehouse. You can build medical kits, mentor other volunteers, or detailed sorting which includes code look ups, date checking, counting and bagging. There is quality control and boxing of large and small items for shipment. I have been volunteering for the last 8 years and find it very satisfying and a good use of my time.
