Review for Louisiana Wildlife Federation, Baton Rouge, LA, USA
I have been involved with the Louisiana Wildlife Federation in multiple capacities. I support the organization for the role they serve in advocating for the protection of native wildlife and habitat in Louisiana. I was honored to be a member of the Board for several years and work with dozens of educated and passionate individuals working in unison for the betterment of wildlife and public opportunities to enjoy the many natural treasures within our state.
As an Executive Director of Woodlands Conservancy, an affiliate organization of LWF, I have had the pleasure of working closely with staff and other affiliates to advocate for the protection of Louisiana’s natural resources. Woodlands Conservancy was honored to have been recognized by LWF as the 2006 Conservation Organization of the Year which served to bring increased awareness to our land trust organization's mission. Working with LWF's resolution process through their annual meetings brought additional credibility and support for the efforts to protect our remaining forested wetlands. Those resolutions have supported the acquisition and protection of over 800 acres of critical resident and migratory bird habitat in the Greater New Orleans area.
