Review for Alabama Veteran, Birmingham, AL, USA
I am a Iraq Combat Veteran diagnosed with PTSD. I had struggled with suicidal ideology as a child that led to my first suicide attempt at 16 years old. After returning from combat in Iraq, I was lost and trying to find answers in the bottom of every bottle or with multiple women (I was married). After my second divorce from my daughters mother, I also became a survivor of Narcissist abuse and was alienated from my daughter by her mother. I came across Alabama Veteran (A.V.) in mid 2015 and was finally able to open up enough to talk about what I had been bottling up at a Warrior Retreat with A.V. That helped me gain some healing and was probably the catalyst that led me to seeking complete healing. I know longer desire to die and I love my life, while it’s not without struggle I have learned to struggle well instead of suffering. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to open up and not only gain healing for myself but also to be able to help others also start their healing process as well. It’s not about what is wrong with me but what happened to me.
