This is my bird Junior, who is alive today due to Dr. Julie Burge. Several years ago Junior's beak developed a nasty infection. I took him to several doctors in the area who had never seen anything like it before and so they were incapable of treating him. The problem only got worse. Fortunately, I found Dr. Burge and she prescribed a series of treatments that cleared up the infection that was destroying his beak. Today Junior lives, quite happily I should add, with a split beak that must be trimmed every 6-8 weeks. And so he sees Dr. Burge every few months for a check up and trim. Needless to say, Junior has grown quite fond of her. He owes her his life. I think it's important to add that Dr. Burge deeply loves all of the animals in her care. It's evident in the way she cares for them. In my opinion she deserves every earthy reward for the amazing work she performs everyday of her life.
