As the mother of 4 young adults, with 3 in recovery, I cannot say enough about the success of the programs at MARR. The Womens' center along with the professional advocacy program really got my daughter back on track. She has six years of sobriety. My son spent nearly eight months with the Mens' center at MARR, working his way through the initial 90 days, then half house, then outpatient/work but still in MARR apartments.
There is no doubt in my mind that MARR saved his life.
Both of these "MARR Graduates" are still in close contact with their counselors and friends from MARR. It will always be a source of comfort to them. The daughter that received treatment at another facility has no such loyalty to that instituion nor does she keep in touch with anyone that she became sober with. In fact, she has frequent contact with the MARR staff who came to know her well while her sister and brother were in treatment.
MARR treats patients and their families like part of the whole organization. Families are urged to participate. All questions are referred to the most capable counselor in that field.
I have and will continue to refer suffering families to MARR.
