I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is June 2020 when I was 24. With a dangerously low immune system I avoided grocery stores because of the pandemic. I had family members helping me out a ton but once I started receiving meals from Ceres so much weight was lifted from both myself and my care takers. I didn’t have to put the energy into making meals on the harder days, and the weekly interaction with volunteers at my doorstep brightened my week. There was always variety in the meals I was receiving and at the time of chemotherapy the soups were everything! I always got a little card, note or some flowers in my weekly bag which never failed to make my day. I still have the cards that I was given as a reminder of the love and care I was receiving at such a challenging time. I couldn't be more grateful that Ceres Project was available to me and my family. I think what they have to offer as a nonprofit makes an incredible difference in each of their clients lives. Thank you Ceres!!!!
