Crossroads is an incredible program that is dedicated to giving formally incarcerated women a second chance. They do this by providing an extremely effective and structured program that also envelops the women with love and care. They find jobs, save money, and receive counseling in a supportive and respectful atmosphere. As Sister Terry, their amazing, long-time executive director states, "We love the women until they are able to love themselves." The women graduating from this program have less than a 10% recidivism rate, compared to a state average of over 50%. These women graduate from the program and become successful members of society. Many go on to college and/or rewarding careers. I am so impressed by the mission of the program and honored to be a member of their board of directors.
