My Nonprofit Reviews

I am a volunteer at the Ronald Mcdonald House in Evansville Indiana. I worked at the front desk the first day it opened. I was busy checking in guests all day long and my final guest was a young mother who had given birth to a premature baby. I could tell during the check in procedures that all she really needed was a hug. She cried in my arms. Later when I saw the Director of the house I made a comment that it had been a very busy day but I had not realized that it would be such an emotional day for me. That day was one of the rewarding days I have experienced as a volunteer anywhere.
