Project Hawaii is truly a remarkable program. They don’t simply think about the basic necessities that children and families need when they are homeless. They consider the deeper needs of love and support that are necessary to thrive in life. Not just survive.
I have served on the board for Project Hawaii in the past for many years. And now multigenerational involvement. I was fortunate to be a part of program development as well as hands on in delivering these programs. It is truly magical to watch these children thrive in life by overcoming hardships. As important as socks and shampoo is for the body, compassion and support is what it takes for the spirit to overcome and soar
