I have been involved in Virginia Organizing off and on for several years. Recently, I was excited about our local Virginia Organizing chapter’s efforts to connect people in the local banking community with people who have faced discrimination in getting loans such as mortgages and for business start-ups. On a Zoom panel, it was great to see so many attending, and to hear how those on the panel say they are trying to improve credit and capital in our area for people of color. I think Virginia Organizing, in big and small ways, has made a difference in our community.
