My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for High Fives Nonprofit Foundation, Truckee, CA, USA
Hey y'all,
My name's Harjot Thandi, but I go by the nickname Happy. 28 years old and living in Squamish, BC my entire life.
For those of you that don't know, Squamish is referred to as "The Outdoor Capital of Canada" and the people that live and visit here are just as amazing as the views and activities. With plenty to do here, a lot of the residents are highly active in a lit if sports. Snowboarding is a huge passion of me, along with Kiteboarding with I just got into a few years ago, but those boards are gonna have to be hung up on the wall as I switch to a sit-ski and find some way to fabricate a "sit-wakeboard" for myself. But aside from these sports, there's one that really stands out out here and that's mountain biking.
A motorcycle crash back in April of 2021 left me completely paralyzed below my T3 vertebrae. While adjusting to ever at rehab, and getting used to my capabilities, I was introduced to this organization through another patient. After doing a bit of research and seeing the positive results of their athletes I couldn't help but check to see if I qualify for a grant.
Thank you to this organization, for helping me out by partially funding a sick new Bowhead bike! I'll be back up in those mountains drinking that end of the day brew while enjoying a sunset in no time!
And thank you to all of the sponsors for making that happen, you've all helped out a lot of us and we can't be more grateful.
And to all the future High Five Athletes, can't wait to see y'all send it í ¾í´˜í ¼í¿½
Cheers
