Harmony Café is an organization whose mission is to empower their guests/clients by providing prevention and wellness education with access to affordable healthy food, in a socially engaging environment, that builds healthy lives.
I volunteered with Harmony Cafés community garden pilot program this summer . It was a great experience. We were able to grow and harvest food which we then donated to community programs that distribute food to the food insecure.
Harmony Café is currently hosting a FEAST (Food Education Access Support Together.) program which promotes wellness through healthy foods and the power of human connection. I love being involved with this organization.
Harmony Cafés founder, Rose Marie McCarthy is a true champion of those marginalized in our communities. Rose is tireless in her efforts to harness volunteer and community support in bringing her vision of affordable healthy food to those in need.
