Review for South Shore Dance Alliance Inc, Griffith, IN, USA
At a time when the arts are desperately in danger of disappearing from our public schools SSDA provides an environment in which our community's younger citizens can come to learn. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the students in a completely improvisational setting and saw that they were confident, disciplined and talented - unafraid to 'leap' into spontaneous movement.
The students are well supported by staff, parents and community members. Although I realize this sounds like all honey and no vinegar however I am truly proud to support an organization that asks students to strive to be more as individuals not just as artists. SSDA is such a gift to us all.

As I said, I have seen the support the dancers receive from parents, staff and community and watched the dancers step outside the boundaries of their comfort zone to perform with grace and confidence to music that was vocally created for the first time at the performance. I see the results of the guidance they have received in their poise and enthusiasm. The youth are our future and I feel more positive knowing these students are learning skills that will serve them well into that future.
