Review for Crossmen Productions Inc, San Antonio, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Since 1975, the Crossmen has given young people the chance to learn and experience something most youth in our country only dream about.

I am a 1975 charter member of the Crossmen. Even today, the corps is a huge part of my life. I've been volunteering my time to help the corps by acting as the co-chair of the Crossmen Alumni Association since 1998. The Alumni Association helps preserve the history of the corps as well as raises funds to sponsor their marching members.

The administration and staff of the Crossmen are wonderful people who are putting their heart and soul into this drum corps. The corps members travel and eat well thanks to these great people, and the donations they receive.

I hope that the Crossmen are around for many years to come. It's a good thing.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

As a marching member from 1974-1980, and one of four in my family to march in hornline, those six years taught me about music, teamwork, and self-discipline. But the best things gained from the experience, are the life-time friends. Today , I help the corps by utilizing my graphics and marketing skills, designing show promos, merchandise, brochures, & member yearbooks pro bono. This past summer, I even spent 12 days on tour preparing and serving meals to the members from their food truck.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Expand the organization by having more offerings such as year-round individual music and dance lessons for children.

Role:  Volunteer & former marching member and volunteer.
