Review for Gig Harbor Peninsula Historical Society, Gig Harbor, WA, USA
Our family is so excited to have the Harbor History Museum in our town. I have taken friends from out of town and my four year old grandson on several occasions. We were amazed at how many interactive exhibits were available. My grandson moved ships, fish, and people around the magnetic board that depicted the harbor. His imagination was fueled as he used the oars to move a boat, make an etching, and turn the wheel of a ship. He also attended one of the many programs that allowed him to touch and learn about the sea life in puget sound. Our friends and family also enjoyed learning about our heritage. We are of Scandanavian descent and our daughter married a man who is Croatian. These two nationalities primarily settled in the area. We are fortunate to be able to educate our future generations through this museum.
