Music has always been an important part of my life. Yet, as a female drummer, growing up I didn’t regularly see myself represented. Girls Rock! DC works to lift up diverse an historically underrepresented young voices through music, arts, culture and justice work. This kind of engagement is needed now more than ever. I’m proud to have the opportunity to work with such a progressive group of people and provide necessary outlets for our young people.
