I’m a volunteer with Wild Nest and really love it! Unlike many of my fellow volunteers, I have very little knowledge of birds and bird rescue. Despite my complete lack of knowledge going in, everyone at wild nest has been such a pleasure to work with- always happy, patient, and excited to explain things to me. Day 1, I was working directly with the birds and doing 1 on 1 training on how to feed them. I’m learning so much and just loving being able to work hands-on, saving wild song birds in Atlanta. They really do great work and care so much about the birds, the community, making their volunteers feel heard and valued, and are always looking at how they can improve the experience for everyone (and every bird) involved.
