Review for Turning Point Center, Houston, TX, USA
I came today to volunteer at Turning Point Center I am on a conformation retreat with Saint Theresas Catholic Church (I am in the process of being confirmed) I was surprised by the amount of aid they are getting here at Turning Point. It made me feel very good to come volunteer today. I was able to see that the residents apprciate our presence and I was happy that I was able to make a difference however small.

Today i learned that most of the stereotypes agaisnt homeless people are not always correct. Not all homeless people are lazy or drug addicts, many were just unlucky with the turn in the economy or not able to get a job. I also learned how many resources like Turning Point are available to homeless people. I was surprised by the amount of aid they are getting here at Turning Point.
