My Wife and I have owned a condo in Kauai for over 20+ years. About 6 years ago, we became aware of the KHS program that allows you to visit the Kennel, select a Dog to take out for the Day, go hiking, to the Beach, socialize and provide exposure of the Dog and the KHS Adoption Program. Being Dog Lovers we find this available Island program and experience most enjoyable and rewarding not only for us but the Dog as well. The past 5+ years we have monitored the Dogs we have taken out and if they were not adopted with a 60 day window we would consider adoption to the Mainland, the dogs have all been able to find a home. The staff at KHS is awesome. They are Professional, Knowledgeable, Caring and most of all, seem to provide a Great service for the Dogs and Cats on Kauai. Fortunately we are able to Donate financially on a yearly basis to help support the work KHS performs.
