When I lived on Kauai for many years I volunteered at Kauai Humane Society and it was the most gratifying time to spend with the animals while they were waiting for their forever homes. The staff takes good care of the animals while in their care. The KHS offers many opportunities for the public to be involved, including field trips for the dogs with locals and visitors, dog training classes, programs for children, many fundraising events, free spay and neuter clinics, and so much more. KHS is so important for the both the people and animals.
