One of the most persistent challenges that poor school-going children in our communities face is malnutrition. They rarely eat at home because their parents cannot afford it! This has led to low turnouts, high rates of school dropouts and teenage pregnancy in our communities. Star of Hope International Foundation is making a difference through the School Feeding program. 1,400 Children are given 10 AM porridge and lunch at noon. This makes their learning process easy and fun and above all the children stay healthy. I am happy to be part of the team building a bright healthy future for the destitute children in our communities

My name is Kevin Tanyi donor relations officer at Star of hope international foundation Kenya. Ever since I joined the organization in 2017, I have witnessed the lives of children from poor backgrounds transform for the better. Over 1500 children receive quality primary school education and benefit from the school feeding program which provides breakfast and lunch every school day, making learning a comfortable process. Over 120 children living with HIV/AIDS get an extra meal every evening on school days and holidays to help them lead a healthy life. Working for the organization and seeing these children get help really satisfies my soul.
