SAFE equine is an amazing organization! Their ability to assist horses that have been abandoned, neglected, or whose humans have hit hard times is unparalleled. Not only do they take on horses in desperate need of care, they also have a hay bank and blanket bank for owners needing just a bit of assistance to make ends meet. The training their horses undergo creates horses that are unlikely to ever need 'rehoming' due to behavioral issues. They do follow up with horses that have been adopted to assure their continued success and proper treatment don't fall by the wayside. They provide hands on programs for their lucky volunteers, so the people who volunteer through SAFE can fall in love with the horses and remain involved long term. All in all, this place is amazing!
