We are so happy to have found Project Hawai’i, Inc. My name is Rosalani and I have three children who found this agency when I was looking for support for my children to have school supplies and uniform t shirts. I tried every place around and no one was able to help with the uniform shirts. I needed $14 per child to have my children attend the public school and that doesn't seem like a lot of money, but I don't have it. We live in a tent and can't afford much.
Magin was able to meet me at my tent and bring me all the school supplies my children needed and even a new backpack. She wrote a check to the school that allowed my children to get their uniforms. I would not be able to get my children to attend school if it wasn't for this sweet lady.
My children rely on school because they get support there and can eat before they come back to our place. I know my children are safe at school and it was scary not to send them just because I don't have money for their shirts.
I am so happy to be able to count on Project Hawai’i, Inc. for helping me and my children. Since that day I have also had participated in their meal program and looking forward the Christmas event. I feel like my family has hope and it will be okay.
Thank you to the volunteers and the people who support this organization. My children would have nothing without them.
