In 2016, I began working as the Workforce leader for an 11 -county region in Central Ohio. At this time I had the pleasure of being introduced to Tech Corps and their Executive Director , Lisa Chambers. I learned of the many solutions Tech Corps offers students across the nation to gain valuable technical and computer related skills. I also observed how the personal care and attention the Tech Corps team delivers to students and their families builds confidence and a greater sense of community. Our K-12 systems across the nation have many challenges and Tech Corps does a fantastic job of meeting the systems and students where they are, providing relevant trainings, camps and experiences for the students and contributing to the greater good of the community.
In 2020, I was offered the opportunity to join the board of Tech Corps and serve in a more direct way of support to the organizations, the students & families, and the community. The skills taught through Tech Corps and their design and delivery of programs is what students need and employers value. I'm very glad to be a part of the team and encourage you to support and engage with Tech Corps .
