My name is James I’ve been homeless for 4years and just got housed Jan 2021.
Last year being homeless I found out about west valley community services and was introduced to my case manager Abel Haven . WVCS & Abel have been such a positive stabilization for me in terms of food and and mental support through all the phone calls,Abel would call me and asked how I was doing every month. In addition he also was able to get me a quality bicycle that gave me more independence which intern helped reverse my situation. Today I am housed trying to lose weight to have a hernia operation so I can work again,WVCS offers food to me to help subsidize my Cal fresh EBT card every month and surprisingly a lot of the food is very healthy. Last I’d like to say they offer free bike repair on a scheduled basis which was very helpful to me since I have very little money at this time. I can’t say enough about WVCS and Abel Except to say they are a positive help to the community the low income and the homeless.
