Hi, I am a Supervisor for Resident Services for Tenderloin communities and Arab Families Program at Chinatown Community Development Center. Our residents or our community members at Tenderloin and SOMA areas faced a hard time during the Pandemic that their needs especially for Halal Food were NOT met by any of the providers. Eat-SF listens to the community need, reach far and beyond and provide us with vouchers, which helped the community in a very critical time. Families really appreciated these vouchers and kept asking about them every month ! Usually, low-income families in Tenderloin/SOMA consist of very hard-working parents, grandparents, extended families, and a lot of children. Buying their own food and choose what they want to eat with the vouchers was a peace of mind for them, and appreciated in a very critical time. THANK YOU SO MUCH Eat-ST team.
