I joined Cancer Schmancer back when it first started and I have donated faithfully ever since. I follow the movement because I think it is one of the most worthy causes out there. The value of a person's life is worth more than any amount of money and the only way to ensure a long life is through health. Unfortunately you can't always rely on doctors and so you must rely on yourself to be an advocate to your health. This can be quite stressful so to have someone else also be a lookout for you is a wonderful thing and that is what I feel Cancer Schmancer does. It helps empower people to take control of their bodies and if they faulter that is ok because Cancer Schmancer is their back up...giving them tips on what to do and what questions to ask. Cancer Schmancer's goal is to diagnose cancer in Stage 1 when it is most curable. If diagnosed in Stage 1 the survival rate can be as high as 95%. If you help support Cancer Schmancer you can be one of the millions of people who believe in getting that Stage 1 diagnose in order to save lives. If everyone had that chance millions of people would survive each year. You can't put a price on that. If you had the chance to save a life, wouldn't you?
