The NSDA has supported tremendous learning in my Speech and Debate classroom over the 30+ years of my career. I know of no better source of inspiration and resources for students to develop their intellect, their voices and their confidence. Through educational resources, organizational support, tournament software, participation tracking and professional development for educators, the NSDA is an invaluable tool to promote civil discourse, literacy and oracy, and most importantly ethical, self-actualized individuals. Due to my partnership with the NSDA I know that I am teaching my students to be the kind of people who will know what to stand for and will have a powerful voice to effectively advocate for it.
