I have had the distinct pleasure of having not only been introduced to this organization but having worked with them in the past. Ryerss is truely a non-profit that is focused on completing their mission. They exhibit compassion and care for the aged equines that are their residents that is unparalleled with any other organization in their field. The care the animals recieve allows the animals to live out the rest of their lives naturally. It truely lives up to the grant first given by its founder. This organization also allows a humane outlet to a problem of overpopulation and undercare for the equine industry as well as being a shining example of how horse owners and rescue oranizations should aspire to be. Caring for the large amount of animals they house can be a daunting and challenging task especially with the recent grain prices and economy, however Ryerss always upholds care and nutrition to high standards. They even cultivate their own hay in order to decrease costs. This organization deserves to continue, to perservere and be preserved. Anyone reading this, please take the time to become familiar wth this organization.
