I have adopted two kitties from MEOW Cat Rescue over the years. The first was back in 2013. He was a sweet BIG eight-year-old tuxedo cat who had been living a rough life. He had been bounced around from home to home, forced into scary situations with aggressive cats and dogs, and on top of it weighed in at about 22 pounds and diagnosed with pancreatitis. MEOW clearly waited until they found the right guardian (me) before sending him back into the world again. He lived out the rest of his life in comfort (and health....he lost about 9 pounds in the first year I had him) until all of his health issues caught up to him. The second was in 2016, he is a timid flame-point kitty who was rescued from a hoarding situation. He is also a wonderful little cat, he's currently curled up on the desk next to me while I work.

So, because of these two, I just love MEOW. They do great work, and it's amazing to see all of the cat and human lives they're changing on a daily basis. And I literally mean seeing it on a daily basis.....they're front and center on my Facebook newsfeed and I keep a close eye on everything that is going on. Bottom line, I no longer live in the area, but if I did I would without a doubt go back to MEOW the next time I am ready to adopt another fuzzball.
