While I had been vegetarian most of my life, I didn’t commit to living my ethical beliefs by becoming vegan until gently guided by the folks at Gentle World. After many educational e-mail exchanges with Angel (who was kindly willing to discuss such questions as “what happens to all the cows if everyone stops consuming dairy?”), I visited Gentle World in Hawaii. Being among these people who lived what they believed helped convince me I could do the same. My birthday this year, 9/13/21, found me celebrating eight years of being vegan. I have kept in touch since then and find Gentle World a constant source of inspiration to just DO what I know is right!
