Since its inception decades ago, Heal the Ocean has remained true to its mission. They have grown and the mission has grown but the solid, demonstrative and energetic work stays solid. Impressive!!! Our ocean and world is better for their existence!

If you heal the ocean--you help the world. Since its inception decades ago as a grass root organization, Heal the Ocean has worked non-stop to find ways to make our ocean cleaner, prettier and safer. The organization has found unique avenues to achieve their goal to a better world--whether it be clamping abandoned, old, underwater oil pipelines, advocating for better recycling options, curbing septic tank use, installing free dog-dropping disposal sacks and extra trash cans at the local public beaches, or helping clean up homeless camps so as to avoid unintended hazardous runoff into the ocean. The organization is well managed, well funded always active -- and they know how to be successful political advocates. Their points are heard and political action is unanimously in their favor. They a huge part of what makes Santa Barbara so special for both locals and visitors. Yes, takes a world-wide village to save the world's oceans--but it also takes a lot of effort--so I am proud to do my tiny bit by being both a donor and volunteer of this extraordinary, creative, and effective organization! Long Live Heal the Ocean!
